I decided to do this blog which Ill be doing every now and then
that touches on a little bit of everything that I use and do in my craft including different little
creations and charms, and I say its a lesson in the title but im not trying to teach anyone
If I say something that might appeal to you and you feel drawn to give it a go or incorporate it into your path then
Yeah go for it, if some things dont and you may disagree then thats fine too these are my own personal things i use and do and it may not appeal to everyone, do what you want and what you feel is right at the end of the day.
As most of you probably already know tomorrow is
the full moon and if you didnt get the time to celebrate
Beltane on the 1st of May and decided to do a little
something for Beltane this weekend and maybe get
a little creative in the kitchen so i got two little food recipes
That are specifically for Beltane that you may like to do this
weekend or some point during May.
BELTANE SALAD
NEEDED -Baby Spinach
Young dandelion leaves, washed and dried (or rocket)
1 cup Cucumber, diced
4 spring onions, chopped
A few Strawberries, sliced
Dressing
NEEDED - Fruit Vinegar
Double that amount of oil
1tsp English Mustard
1 clove of garlic, chopped
1tsp of Honey
Salt and Pepper
Mix all the salad ingredients in a bowl, and shake all the dressing ingredients in a jar
Dress the salad with just enough dressing to coat all the leaves and serve =)
CRYSTALLIZED PETALS
NEEDED - Edible Petals, rinsed and dried
1 egg white, beaten
Water
Caster Sugar
Combine a few drops of water with the egg white in a small bowl and whisk them together
Dip each petal in the egg mixture and then sprinkle with the sugar. Leave to set for a few hours in the fridge and then enjoy or use as garnishes for sweet or savory food.
HANDY DANDY PLANTING IDEA
Use an Old Egg Carton to grow little seedlings that you
are planning on planting in a larger pot or in a herb garden once they are established. The individual spaces are ideal for planting a few different seeds in one container and make sure to label each compartment ready for when it comes to transfer to a larger pot so you dont forget which herb is where =)
HOW TO MAKE-
Second Sight Dream Charm Bag
Needed- White or purple draw sting bag
Piece of white or purple ribbon
Tigers Eye Crystal
Purple Bead
Piece of Dewberry Incense stick
Herbs (dried) - Chamomile, Eyebright and
Marshmallow Flowers
+ these two Rune symbols
Place all these items and a little of each herb into the witchy bag while focusing your energy on why you are using each item and what you hope to foresee -
Colours - White > Calming peaceful
Purple> The colour of foresight and Purple bead for Protection
Tigers eye> The all seeing Crystal
Dewberry incense> Encourages calm and peaceful dreaming when burnt before bed.
Chamomile> Better Sleep. Eyebright and Marshmallow > Aids psychic ability during sleep.
Rune Symbols > LEFT- To receive information you are not aware of. RIGHT- Important Communication.
Place bag Under your pillow on nights you wish to receive psychic messages through dreams
and then remove on nights you dont wish to receive.
