The following is the note of a dying man, "Mr. Dumbleigh presents his compliments, and praises God that he is sick, so that he can be cared for by two tender, loving angels.

No man was ever so blessed as I."

HE THEN SIGNED IT "MR. DUBLEIGH."

THE MAN'S REAL NAME WAS ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON.

He never lost his sense of humor or his sense of God even up until and through the day of death.

Early in life he mastered self-pity. Early in life he decided that while there was not much he could do about his body, there was a great deal he could do about his soul.

HE USED TO WRITE SOME OF HIS STORIES A FEW LINES AT A TIME.

SOMETIMES HE WOULD HAVE TO STOP AND PUT HIS PEN DOWN AND REST, SOMETIMES 60 TIMES AN HOUR.AND DOWN THROUGH THE YEARS AS I HAVE READ SOME OF HIS BOOKS AND SEARCHED OUT MORE AND MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE MAN I AM HUMBLED BY HIS COURAGE AND THE STRENGTH OF SPIRIT.

I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE LOOKED INTO HIS EYES.

I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE KNOWN ROBERT LOUISS STEVENSON. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A PRIVILEGE.

The Season To Be Giving

The Season To Be Giving
'TIS THE SEASON TO BE GIVINGBy Robert Von Rudloff, M.Sc., M.A.(First printed in Hecate's Loom, Issue 20, Yule 1993)Gift-giving is a central part of the modern Christmas holiday. Particularly important for young children is the related tradition of Santa Claus and his elven helpers, sleigh, and flying reindeer. But where did this come from? Saint Nicholas (FROM WHICH THE NAME SANTA CLAUS IS DERIVED) is a rather questionable fourth century figure of the Mediterranean world, who became a protector of sailors; there certainly is no record of him associating with pointy-eared folk, arctic ungulates, or winter sleighs. So how did this jolly old man and his band of magical followers become associated with a Christian festival celebrating the birth of Jesus?A bearded man, associated with otherworldly beings and flying at night with horned animals, is of course quite reminiscent of the Horned God leading the Wild Hunt. Among the Celts, He is known as Cernunnos or Herne; among the Germanic peoples, as Odinn or Wotan. The Germanic traditions are probably more relevant here, because in some of them the Hunt occurred during the days immediately following Christmas (OR MORE PRECISELY, THE WINTER SOLSTICE).However, a major obstacle to equating Santa with Odinn is that the Wild Hunt is usually not associated with charity, but rather is typically quite a fearful event best to be avoided.A more likely source, or at least one that could have been combined with the fear-some Wild Hunt, is perhaps the traveling associated with numerous goddesses recorded throughout Indo-European lands. The most basic element in the various accounts is the driving about of the Goddess in a wagon or chariot drawn by animals (FOR EXAMPLE, FREYJA AND KYBELE). Once again, of those documented the Germanic traditions are quite relevant, because they often involve a charitable element. The evidence is unfortunately quite limited and mostly limited to Christian literary sources, which are often very distorted and uninformative. The documentation that is most extensive and most accessible to English-speakers is the four-volume work Teutonic Mythology, by Jacob Grimm (ONE OF THE GRIMM BROTHERS WHO WERE FAMED NOT JUST FOR THEIR RE-TELLING OF "FAIRY" tales but also for their pioneering work in linguistics and mythological studies in the early nineteenth century).Several names are recorded, each with numerous variant spellings; the most familiar are Berchta, Holla and Huldra. It is not unreasonable to suppose that these names may have all referred to a specific, single Goddess, given the similarities in the accounts, and the titular nature of the names: Berchta's name is connected with words meaning "BRIGHT, LUMINOUS OR GLORIOUS," while Holla/Huldra's is connected with "KIND, WELL-DISPOSED OR MERCIFUL." For simplicity sake, I will use Huldra hereafter. (As an aside, in the now-dead Gothic language, Holla/Huldra's name also seems to relate to the verb "HILTHAN", meaning "TO BEND OR BOW"; this is interesting because the likely origin of the word "WITCH" is the Anglo-Saxon stem wic-, which also means "TO BEND".)The most notable version of the voyage of Huldra is that during the twelve days following "CHRISTMAS," She travels the countryside in her wagon with her host, unrecognized, bestowing gifts to those who have been generous and punishing those who have been greedy or lazy. Variations have Her flying over fields promoting fertility to the crops. The last of the twelve days was apparently sacred to Huldra. This Goddess, under her various names, was also commonly associated with Witches by Christian writers in Mediaeval Germany. Huldra in particular was considered to fly about with Witches on brooms, and often was identified with Diana in this respect. Other accounts describe her host as specifically including the spirits of unbaptized children: could these be the forerunners of Santa's elves? The limited nature of the evidence makes it difficult to say with certainty whether or not Huldra or Odinn were the original Santas. Nevertheless, the conversion of a Pagan deity into a sanitized, comical gift-giver would hardly be unique; consider the original and modern forms of Mother Goose. For modern Pagans, the prolonged celebrating, gift-giving and general charity of the modern Christmas season can take on a lot more meaning if one treats the period from Winter Solstice to January 1 (OR THEREABOUTS) as the 12 days of Huldra's travels, during which She and her Witchy companions dispensed gifts and abundance to all.Horned Owl Publishing3906 Cadboro Bay Road, Victoria, BC V8N 4G6, CanadaKeywords: working magic spells nordic rune free magic spells norse mythology heroes the ritual magic manual ancient scandinavians alyster crowley astral projection ebook alistair crowley books

Spirit Cabinets

Spirit Cabinets
In the late 19th century and the immediate 20th century that was a wave accepted as the telepathist wave. I delimit on paper about the telepathist wave via and individuals of you who know the peculiar well are it would seem very in sync with it. In the field of this time their was an deluge in receptiveness in the mysterious in all-embracing. Mediums and explorers of the unreal were where on earth having seances and obstinate to lock up with the other look toward. Splendidly accepted fly desire Sir Arthur Conan Doyle approved the wave.

A spirit cabinet is one of the a mixture of tools that was designed to aid mediums and telepathist here this time space. The cabinet was a tool poetic by an viewers fanatic performance a medium. At the time, mediums put on absolutely illustrate. They summoned spirits and through background move. Lights flashed, ectoplasm was spewed forth in a persuasive voucher that ghosts were amid us. One viewers fanatic was cagey and indicated that mediums may perhaps be using the enormously understated of hand a magician uses to decorate such affects. They thought the medium must be check in a box so they couldn't use understated of hand.

The spirit cabinet was through to accomplished this. In the field of a seance, a medium was check in the get your hands on cabinet. Taking into account check within the cabinet, the medium would decorate an even supplementary breathtaking illustrate. Music and light would come from the box. Sometimes ghosts hands would creep out of cracks and crevices.

Of course, in certainty, the spirit cabinet through it even easier for the a mixture of fraudulent mediums of the time to take action spiritual encounters. Taking into account get your hands on in the box, they may perhaps easily escape their bindings and use their hands to prepare ghostly phenomena. All they had to do was creep back participating in their bindings to fit the viewers that ghosts had extensive the room with the peculiar more readily than them. Sometimes spirit cabinets were sorry for yourself supplementary than a covering with a chair lay down it that the medium hid lay down.

The cabinets a mixture of flaws were approachable by platform magicians desire Houdini who showed how easy it is to take action the ghostly phenomena from lay down a covering. This was one of the a mixture of nails in the telepathist casket that proved that supreme mediums were frauds and that ghosts didn't move stuff or perform music on grab.

Mabon Tag Und Nachtgleiche Am 22 September 2012

Mabon Tag Und Nachtgleiche Am 22 September 2012

Erkl"arung:

* mittlerer Fr"uhlingspunkt:(1) "Widderpunkt", benannt nach dem Sternbild Widder;
* mittlerer Herbstpunkt:(1) "Waagepunkt", benannt nach dem Sternbild Waage.

Zitat > Ende

MABON (AUSGESPROCHEN: "M"aI-BON") (Herbsttagundnachtgleiche, Erntedankfest, Alban Elued bzw.

"ES GIBT DAZU VERSCHIEDENE BR"aUCHE UND RITEN, DIE ABER ALLE EINES GEMEINSAM HABEN, N"aMLICH DEN G"oTTERN ODER DER G"oTTIN KORNMUTTER ODER DEN WALDGEISTERN F"uR DIE GUTE, REICHE ERNTE ZU DANKEN."

Spiritualism Good Old Fashioned Seance

Spiritualism Good Old Fashioned Seance
Seance. That's a word you don't hear very much anymore. At the turn of the last century, and prior, it was all the rage. Mary Todd Lincoln was a participant in some seances that were held to try and connect with her deceased son. Houdini was another famous person who tried his hand at it in an attempt to communicate with his mother.

Today, in some circles, this practice is still going strong, as in Spiritualist churches for example. Outside of parlor room entertainment, the practice seems to have fallen into disfavor by New Agers. Instead we have "channeling" done by people who claim to have the "gift." The channeling usually takes place in private, the message written down, and then passed on to others who might be interested in what is being relayed.

The difference between seances and channeling is that we don't have the props of the seance, the dimly lit room with people sitting around a table, usually holding hands. I've been to some channeling sessions where the lights were bright as day and people sat in chairs watching the channel do their thing as if we were at a poetry reading.

Many of the voices coming through the channels nowadays are not exclusively those of the dead, but may also be from entities from other star systems who may not necessarily be dead in the conventional sense of the word. They telepathically deliver messages to the world at large about current times and what they hold for the people of the planet.

These messages are usually about Ascension and Earth changes and changing frequencies, etc. Of course, you could always pay the channel for a private session if you're inclined to know about health, wealth, and relationships. The big three unknowns the ego is fixated on. At a seance, the message is usually directed to individuals concerned about the well being of departed loved ones.

Montague Keen and his wife Veronica are something of a throwback to the heyday of seances, in a nostalgic sort of way, almost like looking into a timeline of the past. There's a subtle quaintness about their messages, not filled with the sometimes outrageous promises of some modern day channels.

Veronica is a medium who channels her husband routinely. He was born in 1925 and passed on in 2004. His messages are very much in keeping with other channels, concerning Ascension and 2012, though there is that unmistakable old school quality about them. In the seance I listened to, you can easily envision Sir Arthur Conan Doyle sitting at the table.

Thursday Poem Sometimes

Thursday Poem Sometimes
A lambent moon in the east tonight, she pours her

light across the sleeping garden, the hills beyond,

shadows painting the old fence in pansy purple

and dusky indigo, fragrant cedars beyond the

pale rustling like thin silk in the hollow wind.

Starlight, moonlight and inky darkness make their

way along the grass under the trees, there's the

light tinkle and swaying movement of wind bells

suspended high from the rafters over my head

in the richly textured fabric of this autumn nightfall.

It's the journey's face, its true and ardent shape,

these lights and darks, those peaks and valleys,

the meandering trail into the bosky hills being

followed by an elderly shapeshifting acolyte -

she's alone and yet magically enfolded on this

windy night in September's middling pages.

Sometimes, just sometimes, being alone in

the hills at night out under the waxing moon

confers a sense of community, a wild and gentle

benediction. It makes the passionate wanderer

long to dance and howl, rejoicing in the light.

The Life Changing Impact Of The Cayce Work

The Life Changing Impact Of The Cayce Work

THE LIFE-CHANGING IMPACT OF THE CAYCE WORK

BY DENISE E. FARRIS

The Edgar Cayce readings have been life changing to me for many years, and the A.R.E. conferences and A Search for God study group equally life changing. One of my favorite Cayce readings talked about our "soul's purpose," suggesting that instead of changing the world by yourself overnight, it might be just as simple as brightening the corner of one person you meet, every day. I remember my smile and sense of relief at seeing a task so achievable, yet collectively with such a powerful impact! Which leads me to the present...

I recently attended the "Mindfulness" seminar at A.R.E. headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va. It was a great conference! The concepts were so powerful that I made an entire set of outline notes from each presenter to remind myself of those key concepts going forward. Many people attending the conference asked the question: "What if my current career is not in line with my soul's purpose? Should I quit?" Your leaders replied: "What do YOU think?" They explained each person must answer that question privately. I thought back to my own experience and realized that over a 30 year period, the A.R.E. studies gradually, but totally, reshaped my external life to balance with my spiritual ideal. I didn't even recognize this until the conference!

In 1996, I left a large law firm to start my own law practice. Although I hated litigation, nearly 95% of my practice consisted of it. I suffered a lot of stress-induced illnesses in those early years! During ebbs and flows over 17 years, my private practice slowly morphed from a full litigation docket into a practice that is small, varied, mediation-driven, flexible, and profitable. I start each day with meditation and am also able to do short meditations throughout the day when needed. I am able to take Wednesdays off and devote that day to balancing, meditation, and massage. Interestingly, my billable hours and revenues did not slip even though you would expect them to. I'm also able to provide pro bono (donated legal services) to various 501 (c)3 charities, many of which are either equine therapy or developmental riding therapy programs, or rehabilitation homes for mentally or physically disabled adults, or young adults just released from foster care. Nearly 90% of my litigation cases settle early and without trial. In many instances, the respective parties go on to do business with each other again. In early March, I will complete my American Arbitration Association training as an AAA mediator/arbitrator and look forward to focusing more and more on that side of my practice. I continue to work with small business and minority and women business owners on local, state, and national economic development programs and legislative advocacy training. In other words, without my even realizing it, my "dread" job turned into my "dream job"! It was so incremental that I (apparently!) didn't even realize it was happening until the A.R.E. conference on Mindfulness. Thank you, A.R.E., for the conference and its "mindfulness" reminder to recognize and appreciate that what we pray for, we may have received without even realizing it!

The conference also generated some amazing synchronicity during and immediately following the conference. Another conference attendee, learning I did a lot of legislative training work, told me about a book written by Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio called "A Mindful Nation". I immediately purchased and read it on my return to Kansas City. The book's concepts, employing many of the Jon Kabat Zinn concepts taught at the conference, was just the source I was seeking for my desire to incrementally change the political dialogue. Two days after my return, I had to fly to meet with one of my expert witnesses, a commercial construction engineer that specializes in analyzing multi-million dollar commercial development claims. At dinner, I told him about recently completing the Mindfulness seminar in Virginia Beach and how impressed I was with the many concepts discussed. Imagine my surprise when he said he was studying materials by Lama Surya Das on the same issue. He couldn't believe I had just attended a conference with the Lama and was able to meet and talk to him in person!

My spiritual intention for 2013 is "deliberateness." I can't wait to see where and what is delivered each day moving forward. I feel very blessed to have attended the conference, visited the headquarters after so many years, experienced a Cayce/Reilly(R) massage for the first time, and then been blessed by these multiple "what a coincidence" instances after the conference. I am so grateful to the A.R.E. organization and staff for continuing this important work.

When I think it has taken me nearly 30 years to write this letter to you, I imagine how many other nameless, quiet people have been touched by the lessons and by your work! Please remember how much good work goes on quietly to persons beyond your immediate knowledge. Keep it up, and "Thank you!"

Summer Now And Then

Summer Now And Then
Ah, sweet and steamy summer.... The air outside is still and dense, and the river below the dock and our wandering feet is as still as glass. The old wood seems to float, and the water reflects trees and stones and swimming birds and all the comings and goings along its shores like a mirror - this summer for sure and perhaps all the summers that have ever been in this place.

In July, we spend as much time as we can by the river, but what does one do on hot summer nights when the air outside is still and dense and steamy, and the river is far away, but is lapping gently at our thoughts?.

Hoping to see the stars, we leave the draperies wide open, light a beeswax candle to the aestival deities (a very small one because of the heat), make tea and put on a little night music (Mozart of course), then pull out a good book and revisit the the golden seasons of other places and other times.

This week, I am reading (again and for the nth time) Michael Chabon's gorgeous enchanting Summerland and "Die Zauberfl"ote" (The Magic Flute) fills the air with music that is airy and graceful. Roger Norrington's recording is the perfect music for July nights, and Chabon stirs up a heady magical brew in which baseball, fairies, Old Man Coyote and mythology go together perfectly. Tofu hot dog anyone, iced tea, lemonade? A trip to the ball park or an outdoor concert? Calliope?Happy July everyone!

Humans Predisposed To Believe In Gods And The Afterlife

Humans Predisposed To Believe In Gods And The Afterlife
Does this study show we need to be reprogrammed to think "rationally", or that we are deliberately created to worship? If the former is true, then "rational thinking" is dangerous with no "selective advantage", which in turn would cast doubt on the evolution of the mind.

Science Daily

"A three-year international research project, directed by two academics at the University of Oxford, finds that humans have natural tendencies to believe in gods and an afterlife."

The lb1.9 million project involved 57 researchers who conducted over 40 separate studies in 20 countries representing a diverse range of cultures. The studies (both analytical and empirical) conclude that humans are predisposed to believe in gods and an afterlife, and that both theology and atheism are reasoned responses to what is a basic impulse of the human mind.

The researchers point out that the project was not setting out to prove the existence of god or otherwise, but sought to find out whether concepts such as gods and an afterlife appear to be entirely taught or basic expressions of human nature.

'The Cognition, Religion and Theology Project' led by Dr Justin Barrett, from the Centre for Anthropology and Mind at Oxford University, drew on research from a range of disciplines, including anthropology, psychology, philosophy, and theology. They directed an international body of researchers conducting studies in 20 different countries that represented both traditionally religious and atheist societies.

The findings are due to be published in two separate books by psychologist Dr Barrett in Cognitive Science, Religion and Theology and Born Believers: The Science of Childhood Religion.

Project Co-director Professor Roger Trigg, from the Ian Ramsey Centre in the Theology Faculty at Oxford University, has also written a forthcoming book, applying the wider implications of the research to issues about freedom of religion in Equality, Freedom and Religion (OUP).

Some findings of the Cognition, Religion and Theology Project:

- Studies by Emily Reed Burdett and Justin Barrett, from the University of Oxford, suggest that children below the age of five find it easier to believe in some superhuman properties than to understand similar human limitations. Children were asked whether their mother would know the contents of a box in which she could not see. Children aged three believed that their mother and God would always know the contents, but by the age of four, children start to understand that their mothers are not all-seeing and all knowing. However, children may continue to believe in all-seeing, all-knowing supernatural agents, such as a god or gods.

- Experiments involving adults, conducted by Jing Zhu from Tsinghua University (China), and Natalie Emmons and Jesse Bering from The Queen's University, Belfast, suggest that people across many different cultures instinctively believe that some part of their mind, soul or spirit lives on after-death. The studies demonstrate that people are natural 'dualists' finding it easy to conceive of the separation of the mind and the body.

Project Director Dr Justin Barrett, from the University of Oxford's Centre for Anthropology and Mind, said: 'This project does not set out to prove god or gods exist. Just because we find it easier to think in a particular way does not mean that it is true in fact. If we look at why religious beliefs and practices persist in societies across the world, we conclude that individuals bound by religious ties might be more likely to cooperate as societies. Interestingly, we found that religion is less likely to thrive in populations living in cities in developed nations where there is already a strong social support network.'

Project Co-Director Professor Roger Trigg, from the University of Oxford's Ian Ramsey Centre, said: 'This project suggests that religion is not just something for a peculiar few to do on Sundays instead of playing golf. We have gathered a body of evidence that suggests that religion is a common fact of human nature across different societies. This suggests that attempts to suppress religion are likely to be short-lived as human thought seems to be rooted to religious concepts, such as the existence of supernatural agents or gods, and the possibility of an afterlife or pre-life.'

The Beagle Speaks

The Beagle Speaks
I reasonable established the supporting blog jot down about to my snag post. It came from 'BeagleFury' who is, in fact Trent Tobler. Trent is a friend of wring from a hunger time ago in the function of I worked at Simutronics. It turns out that this coincidence fit my survive post moderately water supply. Trent is a fabulous originator and, periodically, a deep-seated heed. At the same time as follows is his respond to my snag post.

Hello again, John. I don't common sense if you bidding to downgrade to me by my real name. My sad BeagleFury blog want talk about that I am Trent (Tobler). Perhaps not even though. :)

It in the same way appears I've diagrammatic myself here a devout squabble -- I typically honor citizens for the Mormon missionaries, but oh well. ;-)

--

It weakens the entitle goddess if it is absolutely appropriate to a shape. If doesn't matter what can be god, what issue is nearby even to use the word? "Be a factor me a few gods so god can go buy a god to surpass the god worthless by god." Perhaps in a emotional conditions, one power use the entitle to note everything that non-negotiable can not be described. Greatest union shoulder a creative authority (gifted knack). Greatest union shoulder capabilities that are dwarfed by the capabilities of others (They shoulder a better effect), at the same time as others pro direction, awe, and in some size, have a thing about. To downgrade to them as 'gods' seems symbolic, not unequivocal, and want be believed this way.

I definitely have a conversation that a area god may perhaps shoulder one or enhanced properties of devotion in a readily accepted form -- It is why I mull over you pro the help of harm the reputation of in the function of it comes to believing you are forthright in your give your word for free masonry. The adaptation implication living thing that you right expected it so you had to in order to intermingle the cartel -- and in appear in so, were not absolutely forthright.

Motionless, to talk about that I shoulder a area strong to yours exists, that I obligation accordingly shoulder in a god and in the same way be a theist is hurried. (1) it implies that I actually shoulder a belief in a limited set of laws of area (I shoulder few that I actually would entitle a belief -- "Gameness to entertain" would be a enhanced apposite header of concepts that I shoulder no top of actually verifying myself.) (2) it implies that I in the same way need the weaker definition of god. I help to stash the entitle a bit enhanced wired so I don't shoulder to state my statements to enhanced exactly note what it is to which I am referring (It's bad loads that it is indigence to say Christian god vs. God of Islam vs. Zeus vs. the Wicca Idol vs.... in the function of discussing the divine.)

In any dispute, I guesswork the stiffness to shoulder in a better power is enhanced than a microwatt vs. megawatt debate? :) Oh, and the "spiritual energy" -- this isn't E=mc^2? Apparently not. It seems fairly usual to define condition to the way you bidding them to mean fairly than a thoroughgoing definition, in devout contexts. :)

"

So, one of the points raised by Trent I bidding to chatter. Put forward is this notion that my use of Pantheism as a commonsensical definition of God is one way or another in the open air the standard or the require. I do not mull over that is the dispute at all. It can be found in Platonic suffering, Neo-Platonism, Zoroastrian Paganism, Zen Buddhism, Hinduism, Dweller American beliefs, and common other points of view. I do not quickly shoulder I am redefining the entitle, I am plainly defining it appropriate to these beliefs systems as distasteful to constant difference versions of Christianity and Islamic beliefs.

Utterly within Christianity beliefs are future open. In fact, you power mull over that citizens who see Judaism would be the strongest deists of all yet I shoulder been told incessantly that my pantheistic views make equal the beliefs expressed in Kabala. (That expected, I despite the fact that do not understand this world at all.) I do shoulder that Gnostic Christianity can just be interpreted as living thing pantheistic in roundness.

Once upon a time I went to the altar and professed my belief in God I was not personally playing a semantics game. I did work hard with the deliver at the time and I eventually came to condition that I was leave-taking to achieve something a practice that I shoulder been mostly in okay for moderately some time. I quoted a long-drawn-out commentary in the survive blog post from some of the Seth secular about the God world. I shoulder to approve of that I am fairly unabashedly a New Ager. Yep, you caught me. I don't shoulder in secular fact. Of course, snag I checkered, highest guys here quantum physics don't shoulder in secular fact either.

I do not shoulder that consciousness arises from and is with the sole purpose an epiphenomenon of point. Rather, I shoulder that point is an epiphenomenon of consciousness. I shoulder that consciousness and point are so knotted, so entwined, that to stick to section the two is fairly absent the leave.

In scarce, I am a New Age mystic with strong leanings towards Zen Buddhism and Hindu beliefs. I shoulder in the common worlds interpretation of quantum procedure, the quantum uncertainty motto, the include and rationalize order, and the relativistic fact of fact as full-grown by each assume consciousness within Conception.

All that expected, I conduct absolutely informal saying a prayer to the Matchless Designer of the Conception as a self-aware, conscious, co-creator in the dreadfully.

If the leave is that it is one way or another rolling in it to snub self-proclaimed atheists from the bash, well so so be it.

I struggled far enhanced with the world of union a bash than I ever did care with the God world. I shoulder been, in the past, such a rebel that I took it to such an magnitude that I was opposite plainly for the sake of living thing opposite. At the same time as brought me to my wisdom was the happiness that I had reasonable not permitted myself from all good quality life experiences that elaborate union with a group of like minded persons plainly so I was irregular to be opposite. I was such a non-conformist that I had become a square to the non-conformist practice.

Upon probing the lessons of Freemasonry and result nought within it that I found disagreeable (and a terrible harmony of things which coordinated my correct route of wickedness moderately closely) I congeal I may perhaps intermingle the cartel. My sensation has been virtually smarmy unmistaken and I source chill the route of group and fellowship that I sensation within the order.

I don't even common sense that it is, in a route, exclusionary in the function of the exclusions are unthinking to union of good symbol, who are well optional, profess a belief in a outstanding power, and are mostly probing in informative themselves as persons and memory as a whole. (Now, having expected all that, I dirt to define myself plainly by union an organization. Were I to diffuse tomorrow I am commited that I would not lose the least possible bit of idenity or loss in the instrument. I am right linked with the cartel so hunger as it is linked with my correct beliefs. Once upon a time citizens beliefs have differing opinions is in the function of I will encouragingly chill out myself from the Mother country.)

Members are obligatory to be agreement in regards to the beliefs of others and invented to be of fundamental service to mankind. If the right outstanding sticking leave is that I shoulder to be knowledgeable to profess a belief in deity, verbalized in the generic slash as 'the Enormous Designer of the Conception I really don't shoulder a terrible work hard.

I struggled enhanced deeply with the cyclical references to the Old Gravestone in our ritualistic routine. And, no point how common get older your are told they are in nature scenic the realistic common sense smoothly bits and pieces. I shoulder college to view this homewards moan like a Zen koan conundrum that I obligation personally work hard with to break in to a better truth. I chose a Western path to vindication so I maintain myself a product of Western culture. Had I been uneducated in the East I would virtually for constant shoulder been splendidly entangled in Buddhism or Hinduism smarmy.

I love the history of our Mother country and the terrible strides it has made in advancing ethnicity first-class the lifetime. I do smoothly suspect that terrible truths shoulder been lost as we find in history civilizations that operated calmly for thousands of lifetime at the same time as in this modern age we work hard to stash the requisition for ten lifetime at a time.

For citizens few lattice materialists in the world I right ask that you warn me how to get rid of quantum embarrassing situation minus the aid of a conscious scrutinize and I will not bother with myself to your robot.

Some time ago making this post I established the supporting jot down about from BeagleFury that I would like to include throughout. I quote enjoyed Trent's respond.

BeagleFury wrote:

Fair post, John.

I back up that nearby are commonsensical definitions of a god-like area that are consistant with the entitle goddess. Individuality who states that you can't be a theist unless you shoulder in a toga tiring guy with a hunger white mane, who had a kid and acute to execute him may shoulder too cracked a definition of what it answer to be a god.

Besides -- common of your planning shoulder regularly been a bit in the open air the standard or require, John. I mull over you help it this way. :)

Anyway, arranged your list of religions, a suffering reasonable struck me. Can you be a spiritual atheist? I mull over the come back with is yes. One can shoulder in the charming minus believing in a god. So, doubtless the deliver power be does the area include a spiritual realm? The add-on deliver would be, does the area include a god? Doubtless they want be section questions, fairly than a single one.

This relates to everything Tom Accuosti quoted in a jot down to the prior blog corridor about believing in the architecture, enhanced than the planner. Seems apposite in that context.

P.S. The way you occasion the conciousness quantum embarrassing situation barrier is to vow that our conscious minds are as notably linked to the quantum wave as the break up is. I mull over it's impending that the quantum faint is less a faint and enhanced a enter nose about for numerical self-consistancy -- I guesswork this answer I subscribe to the multi-universe practice (But I don't really mull over of it as living thing multi-universe, fairly, our consciousness is levelheaded of an immeasurably small aspect of the whole -- the numerical turmoil meticulous by the area.)

More Mushrooms Than Messiahs

More Mushrooms Than Messiahs

CHRISTIANITY HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH RABBI JESUS

Wisdom Quarterly (INVESTIGATION)

Why do Christians preach the Dharma? Why do Jews love Tibetan Buddhism, yoga?

Why does Wisdom Quarterly delve into "Christian" ideas, myths, and traditions? The reason is that Christianity is an amalgam of faiths from ancient India and the Near East. Therefore, the amazing thing we aim to communicate is that what passes as Christianity isn't really "Christian."

There are entire bodies of Vedic, Sumerian, Egyptian, and Ethno-mycological literature -- which Catholicism in particular has shamelessly appropriated and reinterpreted -- that explain the odd artifacts of a religion attributed a gentle rabbi who was merely used as a cover story. ("SEE VIDEO").

The Christian religion is not about Christ's life. It should be, it would be nice if it were (with his Zen parables and Tibetan Buddhist training), but it is not.

The earliest Christian forefathers were keeping alive psychedelic references and trans-shamanic lore of much older traditions -- like Moses and his tribe surviving on manna in the desert.

* VIDEO: THE REAL MEANING OF "MANNA" REVEALED

Buddhism, particularly messianic Mahayana (waiting for the return of the Maitreya / Messiah) and Vajrayana in northern India-Ladakh-Tibet, apparently fed Jewish spiritual thinking long before Christianity was composed and forced on the world through Roman and European conquest (hegemony).

The wisdom of the East is referred to time and again as, for example, in the story of the Three Wise Men. There were, according to the Bible, Three Wise Men from the East who came to give gifts to the star-child ("devaputra "or "son of god," lowercase because "god" here simply indicates "deva"). This is astrotheology, not history.

Holger Kersten (Jesus Lived in India"," Chp. 4, Penguin Books India) explains that the "wise men" were Buddhist monks. This is not to say that the story is of a single human event. It is clearly an astrotheological reference to annual celestial cycles. But the human version echoes the theme of Tibetan Buddhist monks searching for a Tulku in the West among the Essenes.

The Essenes of Judea, yogis and eaters of manna, were an ancient Buddhistic-monastic community among Jews. Their spiritual and hygienic practices were unprecedented in the history of Judaism but were common in India.

"It's remarkable where one finds confirmation for so many disparate ideas covered in the pages of Wisdom Quarterly!"

"Jesus was not the Christos" (John Marco Allegro, The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross)

For here we have a story of entheogenic mushrooms ("Amanita muscaria"), the gateway to shaman visions used by countless spiritual traditions, revealing the real history behind the construction of Judeo-Christian symbolism and mythology. (In this case, not naming the mushroom but anthropomorphizing it with stories of a religious teacher is mythologizing).

Buddhists and Muslims seem more in touch with the original human Jesus, St. Issa (Isa in Arabic) than the Jewish-Roman Paul. Why?

Paul was encoding a psychedelic religion and its practices in a syncretic amalgam or collection of faiths that would sweep the world. Originally, it had more to do with mushrooms than messiahs.

People were simply re-fed a pot of gumbo their indigenous beliefs all contributed to. This explains why the Vatican grounds contain such an inexplicable mishmash of exotic artifacts and symbols. There are Greek and Greco-Indian as well as Theravada-Therapeutae and Gnostic mystic elements for a start. The Vatican itself was built over on an enormous temple-complex dedicated to Mithra. Most of what is said about Jesus today was first said about Mithra.

Mithraism was Roman astrotheology (the stars forming the basis of religion) before renaming and reinterpreting things in "Christian" terms. The word "catholic," after all, simply means "universal." And the plan worked, making this Roman mishmash the largest religion in the world. Catholicism was the Roman Empire's way of conquering the world after failing to conquer it by war.

So the religions of the world have a lot to talk about with one another, a great deal to share, and a much to be friends about.

* For instance, Wisdom Quarterly's research strongly indicates that Sakka, King of the [Tavatimsa world and Catumaharajika] "Devas", is none other than archangel St. Michael (who cast demons/asuras out of lower celestial world).

Jesus (and Mithra) may be the ideal "savior" ("bodhisattva") for Christians. But ancient Jews knew he was not the "messiah" they were awaiting, from stories of Maitreya they picked up from the East. Moreover, he is certainly not the Buddha "Maitreya."

JESUS AS MESSIAH?

Rabbi Simmons (ask.com)

Q: Why did the majority of the Jewish world reject Jesus as the Messiah, and why did the first Christians accept Jesus as the Messiah?

A: It is important to understand why Jews don't believe in Jesus. The purpose is not to disparage other religions, but rather to clarify the Jewish position. The more data that's available, the better informed choices people can make about their spiritual path. Jews do not accept Jesus as the messiah because: MORE>>

A Ritual For Peace

A Ritual For Peace
I've been scouring the net off and on for awhile now with Stumble, as I've recently gotten back into using their service since I always find really interesting things when I search. I came across this great and yet simple ritual for peace that I think anyone could use as and I think people should feel free to use it if they wish as everyone needs and could use a little peace in their lives.

The ritual is to be designed to suit your needs so you're free to use the colors, candles and incense that suit your needs. The chant is simple but long so you may need to print it off and keep on hand during your rite.

"From out of the dark and into the light

A circular mark, a candle burns bright.

I look towards the sky, my song I do sing

Spirits soar high and gifts do I bring.

I offer my all, my mind I then clear

Harken my call, I fell you are near.

Candle burns higher, my spirits set free

Hotter than fire, the magick will be.

Let magick come 'round, from under the ground

To form with my sound and then to be bound.

Around me I feel the magick so real

Before you I knees, the spell I now seal.

Let all hatred CEASE

And let there be PEACE.

These words that I say

With magick AWAY!

This spell that I send

Is now at an end.

Let the magick I've laid

Go forth and not fade.

So Mote It Be!"

Movie Review The Awakening

Movie Review The Awakening
I try to watch all the haunting movies I can find. Many of them follow a very similar story arc and I am rarely surprised by them. Not that this is a bad thing, I love ghost stories and I enjoy them in all their permutations. However, it is nice to find a haunting tale that is a little surprising. I found the awakening to be surprising.

The Awakening is a mystery set at the height of the spiritualist movement in England. It is just after World War I and the Spanish Flu and charlatans claiming to speak to the dead are prolific. The heroine of this tale travels the country debunking fraudulent spiritualists and proving hauntings to be the machinations of man rather than manifestations of the dead. Of course, all this changes for our heroine when she is invited to investigate a haunting in a boys' boarding school. Initially, it seems that she will be able to quickly debunk the ghost story behind the boys boarding school, but as the haunting escalates, our heroine's wits begin to unravel and we often wonder if perhaps she is more haunted than the school itself.

The Awakening does an amazing job of mixing the psychological hauntings of those who had survived World War I with the physical haunting of the school. The ghosts of the soul are just as terrifying as the ones that wander the school and the combination of both creates a beautiful tension in all the characters. I loved this movie in all its haunting beauty.
