Third Prophecy Of Fatima

Third Prophecy Of Fatima
It has speculated that Popes through the last century were hesitant to release the Third Prophecy of Fatima because of the horrific nature of it that may suggest the Catholic Church leading man to the devil. I have read the entire transcript and have a different take on it.The first two Fatima Prophecies were revealed by the Blessed Mother in 1917 to three young school Children. The first two prophecies told of the end of WWI and a great light in the sky over Europe. Both events seemed to have occurred within the time frame of the prophecy as told. What about the third prophecy and why the Blessed Mother to reveal these things to school children in a very poor country?Theologians believe that the Blessed Mary returns at times of great trouble and strife to warn mankind of impending events. Children have innocent minds and may be more trusting of an appearance. This is the Third Fatima Prophecy: "After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: 'Penance, Penance, Penance!'. And we saw in an immense light that is God: 'something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White 'we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God." I would put this in the category of End Time Prophecy even though no Catholic is obligated to except or believe any of this. The church has rejected more ancient books than it has excepted, and only believe the ones that are the most credible. Then why has this prophecy in Portugal been so important to the Catholic Church? Could have deep political meaning? This 'revealed prophecy' was very important to the Catholic Church. It had everything to do with Islam. That's right. Even in 1917 the Church could see the danger of this movement. "Our Lady's appearances at Fatima marked the turning point in the history of the world's 350 million Muslims. After the death of his daughter, Muhammad wrote that she "is the most holy of all women in Paradise, next to Mary." "He believed that the Virgin Mary chose to be known as Our Lady of Fatima as a sign and a pledge that the Muslims who believe in Christ's virgin birth, will come to believe in His divinity. "Bishop Sheen pointed out that the pilgrim virgin statues of Our Lady of Fatima were enthusiastically received by Muslims in Africa, India, and elsewhere, and that many Muslims are now coming into the Roman Catholic Church." How The Vatican Created IslamThe link above details a great conspiracy of how the Catholic Church created Islam in the seventh century hoping their fanatical zeal would one day rid the holy land of the Jews. If true, the plan backfired. I don't really believe in all that sinister stuff. I think the third Prophecy of Fatima was an allegory. End-Time Prophecy has always been viewed as a metaphor of the consequences of man aligning himself with the forces of evil. There really is no literal way to take this.
